At 8AM BST on Friday, Manchester city agreed a deal with Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portuguese gave his Juventus teammates the impression that he would join the Citizens, as per The Athletic.
The player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, reportedly ‘used’ City’s interest to up Man United interest in re-signing Cristiano.
In a few hours, the Red Devils agreed the deal with the Portuguese and Manchester City were out of the race. At 6PM BST, the deal was officially announced by the club.
It is said that Mendes’ actions will have consequences for his potential future business with Man City.
