The Club may be left with little choice but to sell Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid after the striker turned down the club’s latest big-money contract offer, according to reports in France.
A radio station in France RMC has reported that PSG made a five-year contract offer to the France striker to keep him but the 22-year-old said no.
The Club have been determined to keep the Striker but the latest contract rejection is edging them closer to selling the player.
The RMC report said the new contract PSG offered to Mbappe included an optional sixth year and a significant pay rise but still would have left him as the club’s third highest earner behind Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Mbappe’s current deal with PSG expires next year, leaving him to depart for Real without a transfer fee.
The RMC report said Mbappe is looking increasingly likely to leave PSG this summer but ‘two huge obstacles remain’.
Firstly, Real must make a bid to PSG for the forward which they are so far yet to do, with the RMC report saying the only approach for the forward in the last few weeks has come from England.
